OK, first I want to inform you guys that I’m trying my best not to swoon while I’m writing this post. *sigh*
One day I was surfing in the net and I came across these fanarts:
Ahh…evil, evil minds…
Now, why did I say this is evil? Well, simply because it makes people like me anticipate something that is hardly ever coming out. This type of movie- a Batman-Superman movie- is very promising yet extremely difficult to realize. Why? Because it’s a Batman VERSUS Superman movie, those are two big, BIG superheroes who are not only combined in a single film, but will actually FIGHT in the film. And usually, when madman producers think of stuff like this, it ends in a disaster. Why? because it usually fails the expectations of the fans and the general public.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see a movie like this come out. But I’m terrified it might not come out the way it’s expected to. I read a great post about this from a fan who’s really ants-in-the-pantsy about it. And I must say he’s one of those believers whom producers should not disappoint.
For the record, I’m not totally discouraging this film concept, if ever some madman producer really wants to push through with this. But I do have some suggestions which I hope they’ll come to think of in the process:
Number 1: Please retain the original/recent actors. I’m really dying to see Christian Bale and Brandon Routh portray their superhero alteregos in the big screen…*sigh*
Such gorgeous, gorgeous men! Eye-candies…yummy.
Number 2: Please don’t make it a superhero vs. superhero plot. Let’s face it, if this would be then one of them will eventually become a supervillain instead of a superhero and one of them eventually has to lose.
So hear me out, and avoid the wrath of the die-hard fans. Make it like a collaboration between the heroes instead, like Superman trying to toss a gigantic alien craft while Batman goes in the lab to make some nice, ice-cold bubble tea.
Well, that’s enough of my creative wishful thinking.
But do you know that this was actually conceptualized by WB even before Christian Bale became Batman, and Brandon Routh became Superman? This film was conceptualized as far as 2001 (or 2002, I’m not so sure) but was preempted to make way for “Troy”, starring Brad Pitt (I guess WB preferred mythical heroes over comicbook ones…). It was scheduled to be released in 2004 but never came to light. Eventually, what took the place of what should have been a WB produced Batman vs. Superman movie was “Catwoman” starring Halle Berry.
Then, a few years after the successful release of Catwoman, an independent film was conceptualized which showcases a teamup between Batman and Superman. The film is to be called “World’s Finest”. I think there are mock trailers of this already but I haven’t seen it yet.
Here are more exciting fanarts I came across. It fascinated me…and made me want to experiment with Adobe Photoshop:
Cool, don’t you think? You can find more fanart here.
But granted that this movie concept become a reality, who do you think should and would win the fight? If you ask me, it will definitely be BATMAN. Yes, badass Batman, indeed!
And I think I’m not the only one who thinks so…

“…after wearing the kryptonite cologne he invented earlier in his lab, Batman finally brings Superman to his knees…”
“…and to his end.”
(oh Brandon, I just love looking at you while you’re lying there helpless and pretending to be dead…you’re absolutely a beautiful, beautiful man! But I have to choose Christian over you, sorry…)

Why I chose Batman? Over brains and brawn, I always choose brains.
Cheers, everyone. And no hard feelings ok?

Really enjoyed your post. There’s been talk for years about a Batman/Superman movie but if Warner ever did it, it certainly wouldn’t be a Batman VS Superman film. What’s mostly been talked about is a Batman/Superman World’s Finest movie, since there’s a lot of precedent for that in the comics. I personally disagree with doing Bale and Routh because A. Chris Nolan has already said he won’t do the World’s Finest movie and I’m a little afraid of seeing anyone else trying to direct his Batman and B. Routh is continuing on the same Superman franchise that began in 1978. His Superman is, sorry to say, outdated. If World’s Finest did happen, it would need to be a closer-to-comics Superman, or I can’t imagine him meshing with the current Batman. That’s just my two cents! I wrote a blog a couple months ago about this and other films that won’t ever get made; it’s here: http://blog.mygeeklife.net/articles/2008/02/07/the-best-comic-book-films-that-will-never-get-made/
You do have a point there about not casting Routh and Bale in this type of movie, and also because the movies they portrayed in as Superman and Batman respectively are set in different timelines. I do agree with you about the World’s Finest being the more likely type of movie WB would produce, and if that would mean casting different actors, I hope they’d choose wisely
or at least retain ONE of the recent actors, like cast Routh for Superman and get a different Batman for instance. I’m afraid the movie might lose some of its appeal if they cast new actors for Batman and Superman.
Thanks for the comment! I saw your post and I liked it. You do know your stuff, and it gave me a lot more info about stuff like this.
wow! great dude!
Ok, you didn’t do any of your homework. In “The Dark Knight Returns” Batman and Superman duke it out, in the most epic of fashions. Should Bats Vs Supes happen, this would be the best comic to follow, as it is not these two fighting each other the whole time, but rather Batman struggling with his own approaching mortality, the Joker having one final laugh, Two Face’s final ploy, and the youth of Gotham corrupted and then freed. This would be the most appropriate way to make Batman and Superman in the same movie. The World’s Finest trailer is simply that, a trailer, created by a fan to showcase his directorial skills, there is no actual independent film of it. Still, good post regardless of it’s factual flaws.
It’s stupid, batman defeats superman. I guess you can come up with any kind of scenario where batman can defeat anybody right. While we are at it, why doesn’t batman device a machine that will stop all crime before it happens and so he can not have to worry about it.
I am sure batman could chase superman to krypton if he had to, he would build a spaceship that would travel at the speed of light. Wow, and to think NASA has the best minds working on it while batman can do it within one month.
i LOVE Bat man very much becuse he is very exitid
shank you
Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!
Hi, Mike! Wow, that’s a great concept! I also got to watch “The World’s Finest” trailer and I think it’s awesome, though it only casted two-face without Joker. I do hope a movie similar to that would materialize soon! There’s also this animated “Batman Superman” movie which was also exciting, although most of the time the story revolved around the Clark-Bruce-Lois love triangle. Anyway, thanks for sharing your two cents, very enlightening!
yo dis movie is gonna be banging 4real cuz me im da biggest superman fan ever dats my nickname by the way. but i can wait
nice nice, i like! d(^_^)b
This certainly was a very entertaining post- but I doubt that Superman and Batman would ever fight against eachother. 3 reasons:
#1: Weren’t they in the Justice League together some time ago?
#2: Thus I doubt that 2 good guys would want to fight eachother
#3: Do they have ANY reason at all to fight each other?
Hi, Rachel! Well, I’ll give you one reason – Lois.
But I do share your opinion about not having a VERSUS movie for these two superheroes. I still stick with the collaboration idea, “The World’s Finest”.
what’s funny is he says brains over brawn, who told you that Superman had no brain, he comes from a planet that was the most civilized in the galaxy, his past battles have made him even stronger, the only way he would underestimate bruce, would be because he considers him a friend, so let’s not get our panties in a bunch. Batman great detective, superman faster then a speeding bullet, stand back and watch batmans brain boil from a sudden burst of energy coming out of Superman’s eyes.
That’s probably true. Batman can actually trick Superman into a cryptonite trap because Superman is too trusting– which is one of his greatest character flaws. He’s too sensitive, too. Falls inlove with women here and there (watch the Christopher Reeve movies). Let’s admit it. Superman is more concerned with saving innocent lives than fighting crime, whereas Batman though lacking real superpowers know A LOT MORE in crime fighting, because he’s more equipped. He knows shadow skills and guerilla tactics, too. Which made me say he’s a LOT SMARTER than Superman. And, as I’ve said, NO HARD FEELINGS. It’s just my opinion.
If you want a superhero who can save tens and thousands of innocent lives in just a split second, then Superman’s the right one for you. But if you want a superhero who can really kick criminal badass, then it’s Batman.
I believe this movie will happen soon. I was online one day and read someplace that Bale & Routh and some others met to discus this movie over dinner or something don’t no if its tru or not. (hope so) Im a life long batman superman JL fan and all around comic book fan. A “Batman v Superman” movie wouldn’t mean that they fight to the finish, after a few rounds of trying to out wit each other brains & brawn a hard game of sizing each other up. they team up for the greater good and become colleagues Batman v Superman its just a title
Captain Logan, you are outdated, I don’t think that you have the right to judge and disrespect Brandon Routh that way let alone Christian Bale who are the next Christopher Reeve and Michael Keaton. These guys, I do seeing teaming up in the Batman/Superman World’s finest movie they both embody the characters and it would have so been nice to have Heath Ledger if he had not died like this in January as The Joker to meet Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. This, would have been very nice and epic. They, can cast johnny Depp as a replacement for Mr. Heath Andrew Ledger as The Joker and have him and Kevin Spacey team up against Brandon Routh’s Superman and Christian Bale’s Batman. Awesome man excites me about the JLA team movie Epic man.!!! For Marvel, THe finest there would be Spiderman and Hulk, because they both can jump great distances Hulk can move alot higher and faster because he is a full created mutant. Spiderman, is a mutant as well but, he is still fully human but his amazing Spider arachnid instincts are amazing. When, he became Symbiote Spiderman he was evenmore amzing faster and more heightened spider-senses.
dude thats soooooooooooooooo cool ur the best
This would be a fine idea if they did something similar to what has been done in comic books in the past. i.e Batman has to go to Metropolis, the two’s paths cross, a fight ensues. Batman has become a loose cannon, Superman gets sent to bring him in.
Basically:
Batman movie w/ Superman appearance = win.
Batman/Superman movie = hmmmmm….
Batman vs Superman movie = Fail.
..and a lot of people who aren’t familiar with the comics would dismiss it as a money making stunt, rather than a legitimate movie idea.
Tbh i really would want batman to win
But its not really possible.
the reason for this is batman being a humanbeing and superman being an alien
Superman has unlimited strength and powers and does not get tired, and his only weekness is krptonite which i must admit if batman got some of this he would definately have a chance
But batman has limited strength and no powers, he just has teh gadegets he makes, and needs to rest.
So my overll opinion is superman would win, Just because hes pretty much unbeatable….
Still….
I would PREFER it if batman won
mmmm
Batman -drool-
Hey There,
I would imagin if they made a Batman & Superman movie but I wouldn’t want the movie to be called batman vs superman it just wouldn’t be right. I imagin them not getting along with each other at first but later at the end they would have no choice but to work together as a team in order to stop there arch memasis Lex Luthor and The Joker. I also imagin having some of the cast from both films to be in the same movie together that would be cool and everything they done in the cartoon and in sandy collora’s 2004 trailer would be even much better like that. For years I’ve always been a fan of batman and a bet less of superman’s but I do love him too, This whole year I have been designing some pictures of them together as if they where making a movie and what I’ve done was some of my best work I only wish I could add them on the web but it’s not that easy for me to do. So I just want to let you know that I really do love the work on these images you have of them here I believe there the best work I ever seen keep it coming I hope in time I will make a small booklet of them. Peace
The concept I heard for the movie was essentially “There’s some huge, world–changing disaster. Batman and Superman approach the problems in different, and opposed, ways. They start contend/fight over things, but eventually realise they’re on the same team, and work together to fix it.
Batman is smart guy, I think he have the tech to create something with green kryptonite to defeat superman, so… THE DARK KNIGHT IS THE WINNER!!!!
Superman is an Alien with highly advanced Alien technology, what could Dumb Batman (Inspector Gadget) do to a man that plucked him (in DC Comics) and nearly killed him, breaking almost every bone in his little bat body. Superman has moved the solar system, you know the planet that Batman lives on, moved with it. This isn’t even a contest. SUPERMAN WOULD WIN!!!!!!!
Superman could push the Earth into the sun killing everyone, this includes Inspector Gadget or Batman. SUPERMAN could turn back time and destroy little Batboy while he’s a little snot. There are to many senarios where it would be impossible for Batman to kill SUPERMAN. Wait until he’s Bruce Wayne and then Shoot him with a 45 cal.
I’m sorry, I like Batman MUCH more than Superman, but Superman would kick Batman’s ass from her to Krypton. Even if Batman had Kryptonite, he’d have to trick Superman into falling into that old trap or he would have zero chance. It’s a dumb argument. What’s next, who would win in a fight, Spiderman or Black Cat?
Esto esta mal superman siempre va hacer el ganador no batman
Superman is the superior one… thats hwy hes superman…..theres no argument…just wishfull thinking for the BATMAN hard on FAN
@adam smith:
If you’ve watched the animated movie “Batman Superman movie”, Batman DID succeed in making Superman fall into that “old trap”
There’s no doubt that Superman is the STRONGER one, but Batman is still the SMARTER one.
And don’t forget that Superman’s arch enemy, Lex Luthor, is just a mere human but a super genius. And does Superman have a hard time battling Lex Luthor? You tell me.
So let’s not start judging Batman for lacking special powers. It’s very well complemented by his intelligence.
Cheers!
Superman only has a hard time battling Lex because he’s apparently incapable of killing the guy. I mean, he could if he wanted to, but he’s too altruistic to actually do it.
As for falling into traps, I suspect if the writers stop writing him as a dumbass, he’d stop falling into those traps. But kryptonite aside, there’s nothing either of those two could do to actually hurt him.
Is Superman immortal? I never got that answer from the various series. They hint at it in Smallville when one of the Legion members starts to say in the future they’re friends.
Interested thread skimmed most of it. Few points. Agree with Capt Logan at top of thread. Superman Reurns was a continue on from the old superman franchise and it is not suitable for a batman/superman movie. Which means can’t cast Brandon R as he has already been cast for that version. Would be weird his charater suddently be that of the comics, so a new Superman is required. But Christian Bales version of superman i think could be done with a new superman, but as mentioned don’t think the current Batman creators would do it. Would mean end of that franchise version of Batman. Agree it wouldnt be a Batman vs Superman, thats just stupid! Batman as in the name is a man. Superman could spit on him and it would go through Batman like a bullet. But I do think at the start of the movie there will be a confrontation/meeting, and speech from superman regarding Batmans “dark” approach to handling criminals.
There is no answer to is Superman imortal. Facts can change from storyline to storyline. ie. Kingdom Come story Superman was old with grey hair and having a baby with Wonder Woman (Bruce Wayne was the god father. Lois was dead). And obviously he ages as he was once a boy.
Know for the QUESTION! In Superman II, Superman gave up his powers to be with Lois Lane, then had sex with her in the Fortress of Solitude, before later in movie getting his powers back and then wipping Lois’s memory of any of it happening. In Superman Returns (the new “Superman III”) which suppose to folow that movie, Lois is has Superman child. You see where I’m going with this right! She doesnt remember sleeping with Superman/Clark?! so she must think she is the virgin Mary or something right… but obviously she knew. So guess a small inconsistantcy in story.
Also did you know that Lois was impregnated while Clark was human as if he had orgasmed with his powers and would let loose to his natural strength and speed (as we do) and killed her. Be like a automated weapon going off up there!
Superman would own all, and don’t give me any of that kryptonite BS. SUPERMAN OWNS
I think in the next Batman movie, it should start off with the Joker on trial. He then escapes when a giant explosion rips a hole in the side of the courtroom. A bunch of men with masks and guns come in and wisk him away. They lead him to an abandoned subway line. They travel down this line and enter a secret door that leads to an underground nightclub ran by Oswald Cobblepot, who is responsible for the Joker’s escape. Oswald tells him that he has a place set up for him to hide in Metropolis. At the end of the movie, Commissioner Gordon informs Batman that he believes the Joker is in Metropolis and that he should go there and catch him. While at the end of the next Superman movie the Joker meets Lex Luther and tells him that he can help him with his “problem”,if he can help him with his “problem”.
al diablo todos gringos… batman is the king aki mi machucado ingles jejejejeje…
I think Superman will beat Batman because of his Fantastic abilities. One of those reasons is because Superman is a God that shoots beams from his eyes and has super breath and not to mention he can move faster than a speeding bullet. So all he has to do is punch Batman and its over.
well think about it logically superman would win. hands down. not using weapons or super powers.superman is the man of steel as told. batman is just a rich guy with enough determination to become a super hero.take away his weapons n kryptonite he is nothin but a mere human.now take away supermans powers.he would still win.why do people think batman would win i dont c him winning.n soon enough superman will find a way to bypass kyrptonite.plug his nose or soemthing dress in armor.think about it logically please superman is the 1 n best superhero.batman isnt even a super hero.superman is god liek hes an idol.batman is now technologyish person like hes in now because of his weapons.but superman has n always will be the best
SUPERMAN IS BETTER THEN BATMAN GET THAT STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell witch planet woukd Batman ever have a change at beating superman? This would never even have been a movie longer than my pinkie. Batman have none superpowers other than unaturalhigh strengt and power. OK, among us mortals he has “Superpowers” but he has nothing comparing to the one and only Superman!
Batmans beaten villians with super powers. Why wouldnt he be able to beat Superman?
When people say: “Batman can kick Superman’s ass” they really mean one of three things:
1. I like Batman more and think he can do anything.
2. I think Batman can win a one-sided battle where he’s prepared and Superman isn’t; and I’ve read comics like that.
3. I think Batman can beat Superman under specific circumstances, but all things being equal, Superman will almost always win.
With Case 1, there’s no arguing with them. With Case 3, I think the individual is reasonable enough and there’s no need to force them to say Superman will ALWAYS win unless we’re suffering from a bit of Case 1 ourselves, but with a Superman bent. I think a mixture of Case 2 and a little bit of 1 is the predominant viewpoint of people who say it.
The thing is, they typically don’t acknowledge the inequality in preparation or technology… it’s almost always a contrived circumstance to bring about a Bat-victory by the skin of Bruce’s teeth. Even if they do, they put their faith in Batman’s preparation and planning (and sometimes technology) to rule the day. The following addresses that (reposted):
Despite the incredibly presistant and wide-spread belief that Batman has a dozen plans up his sleeve to take out Superman, historically it’s been proven otherwise again and again. Let’s take some examples:
DKR – Bats, after 20 years of planning, gets his ribs broke, his fancy suit torn to shreds, suffers a heart attack, and ends up in the ground. His entire plan relies on Superman holding back and NOT simply unplugging Bruce from his lamp-post or disabling him from space (if Supes really just wanted Bruce to turn himself in, rather than getting into a dangerous fist fight)… in other words, poor writing for Supes (out of character motivation, out of character intellect/tactics), who could have undid the Bat’s plan easily.
Hush – Bats breaks his hand & resorts to thug-level hostage tactics, while admiting he doesn’t stand a chance. Honestly, he just gets in one good punch (that breaks his hand) shortly after, Supes smashes through the street and effortlessly lifts a car in each hand, no worse for wear. His plan needlessly puts himself at risk and relied entirely on Clark holding back/being good, which he had no logical grounds on which the make that assumption… having a “gut feeling” that Clark can resist mind control does not constitute a good plan.
Red Son – Dies. Despite all his prep, he didn’t account for Superman’s allies, which he has in spades and certainly on a different power-level than- say- the Bat Family. If anything is true of Supes, it’s that he has many friends that would readily risk life and limb for his sake- heck, in the regular universe, Batman considers himself one of that number… any plan meant to take Supes out has to take into account his allies, friends, family, robots, pets, etc.
Babel – Years of planning on how to stop a rogue Superman… result: an expensive synthetic rock that makes Superman MORE powerful (and doesn’t even prevent him from using his powers with surgical precision). Wow. Brilliant.
Superman/Batman #2 – Owned. This is in Batman’s home turf, the ideal situation to combat Superman and to enact all the theoretical plans his fans have long believed he has against a rogue Superman… but the result? Bruce isn’t even Future Supes’s target yet he’s a breath away from death if not for a save from present-day Supes.
Lex Luthor:Man of Steel – Batman with kryptonite and prep, defeated handily by Superman. Arguably one of the most realistic portrayals of how Supes could still defeat Batman without instantly killing him regardless of Bat-prep.
Superman: King of The World – Batman with prep and kryptonite fails to stop Superman from being able to crush his throat… only with the intervention of Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter is Supes stopped. Here we see danger of Superman with limited prep, the legions of his similarly powered Superman robots.
Sacrifice – Again, Batman, king of protocols, the man entrusted with the Kryptonite ring as a symbol of trust and the express responsibility of stopping Superman should he go rogue by Superman himself… finds himself in said situation and instead of pulling out “always prepared anti-Supes plan” finds himself beaten to near death saved only by the Plot Gods.
Infinite Crisis – After the last beating, you’d think Batman would create more comprehensive plans for taking out Superman and/or Superman-class enemies. Granted Kal-L is probably levels above them, but in terms of Anti-SuperBrick Planning, once again, Bruce fails… his entire defense the Kryptonite ring. Even if it were Kal-El and not Kal-L, it’s highly questionable whether the ring alone would have been able to stop a motivated rogue Superman considering Supes has wielded the ring himself when fighting other Super-persons. If Batman were truly the master of planning and prep, this certainly should have been taken into consideration.
Final score: Bat Plans Zip; Supes nine of nine.
The only cases where Batman has been able to possibly get a leg up on Supes are when he has acted like a villain and held hostages or lead an assault against an unsuspecting Supes- hardly a feat (consider: who amongst us, with Batman’s fortune and training, intimate knowledge of Superman as an ally, and even express consent from said target, WOULDN’T be able to come up with an attack plan against an unsuspecting Supes?). In any case where Supes has had the opportunity to fight back he has either won or been defeated by bad writing.
Think is a no brainer, charactor against charactor, mortal man can’t beat superman in a fair fight based on there natural skills.
ola me llamo marcos agregenme marking_master@hotmail.com
but i’v herd that Batman kickd Supermans royal B..
he yusd Criptonite i think but if Batman will yus breins insted of head to head combat he has all chanses of Wining for real
and Whe all Know That batman isn’t dumb so That it
I think Batman would win. I do like superman. But Batman has no weakness, Superman has Kriptno to worry about, and enough can kill him. So i think batman can win. but i do think that i still would be an awesome movie,
HAHAHAHA. I started to ignore posts here after I did mine ages ago but after reading “But Batman has no weakness, Superman has Kriptno to worry about” I just had to reply. Batman is freeken mortal! No weaknesses?! hahahaha. I could name a million things that could kill batman. Superman has one! Thanks for the laugh though!
They say all batman wins the fight when they fight,
but pls the fact is that batman doesn’t stand a chance against superman.
Superman needs to do only one thing and thats, take batman in the sky with superspeed, throw him in to space en use heatvision on him.
Boom dead.
No but i like batman also, hes really smarter than superman i think,
but superman will win!
The last son of Krypton.
i really hope they make this movie. i’d like to see then unite, not fight. sure maybe a little bit of them fighting, but in the end…everybody getting along. ^_^ i do know that they are currently making another superman movie coming out in 2010. and i am dying to see it. i also love the sequal to the batman movie with joker. he is my favorite villian. ^_^ heath ledger is a perfect joker, it’s unforturate that he died though. anyhoo, i truely do hope they pick brandon routh and christian bale as the characters, that is if they make the movie. oh, and i heard they are thinking of makeing a justice league movie too. ^_^ i don’t know if they are playing in it though. i think they said they weren’t going to, unfortuately. well, that’s all i have to say on the matter.
~Kate, age 15
hey i’m back guys…i just found out that it will indeed happen, and that Warner Bros’ plan all along was for the heroes to have a couple of solo adventures first, and then bring them both together for one big movie. Apparently Brandon Routh and Christian Bale have even met to discuss it…
Hi, Kate! Wow, theat would be great indeed! Are you sure you didn’t read that April Fools article instead? I sure got fooled by that.
IF superman really wanted to he could butt fuck batman like a sowing machine and batman couldnt do a god damn thing about it after superman was finished with batman he would twist his head off and kick it to the fucking sun …
Batman could beat Superman any day. He always keeps a kryptonite ring on him. Deep down, Superman is a good person, and would never kill anyone, but Batman is not. Superman described him as the most dangerous man on Earth. If he had to Batman would get his hands on all the kryptonite he could and hurt Superman so badly that he would live, but never be able to do anything ever again. Of course Batman doesn’t do this because the world needs Superman, but he could do it if he had to.
@supes tha man…
Pretty good rundown, but in DKR you can basically chalk that one up to batman. Yeah he got pulverized, but he knew he would, and was just buying time for the Green Arrow to shoot that Kryptonite. As soon as that part of his plan happened, he basically started to choke Superman out, and probably could have killed him if he really wanted to at that point, but obviously Batman doesn’t kill either.
His “heart attack” was very carefully planned BY BATMAN, not caused by Superman. He planned for it to happen just as he was defeating Superman, so he could prove his point to Superman that he was “the only man to ever beat him,” but then fake his death to get away.
And sure, Superman could have used heat vision from the sky and torched Batman, just like Batman could have blown a hole in Supermans head when he was weak from the Kryptonite, but neither hero fights like that, or will kill another person, so you have to take it for what it is.
Superman was forced to confront Batman head on due to his principles, Batman made him hustle and distracted him long enough for his trap to spring, and Batman put himself in a position to *start* to kill Superman, and through his own planning interrupted that act by faking his own death. Not only did he beat Superman, he found a way to escape the Goverment troops surrounding him and take the heat off himself forever.
This is probably the best example of what people mean when they say Batman would win. But honestly, only in limited, and perfectly executed circumstances. Even conceding that one to Batman still leaves him 1 and 9. So yes, Batman is badass enough to kill Superman. But 9 times out of 10, he’ll just get his ass kicked.
Math fail…1 and 8.
Okay. I’ve had this discussion with my roommate too many times to not KNOW the outcome. The truth is, that while Batman is one of the greatest superheroes of all time, there’s no beating Superman. Kal-El has almost limitless strength, lightning fast speed and can move planets with relative ease.
That in mind; I don’t care how smart you are! Superman wins! He’s gone up against the whole kryptonite scenario countless times as well and everytime, persevered. SUPERMAN! HANDS DOWN!!!
There have been instances in the comics and tv shows where Superman has “cracked” and other superheroes are forced to take him down, Batman being one of them.
Because of this, I could see “Superhero vs Superhero” working in the end.
This thread just goes on and on. Let’s try get some conclusion by taking a new angle. Superman and Batman a made up charactors, and just like them a story could easily be made up where batman beats superman, it has been done in different stories. Hell, someone could write a story where I single handedly take over the world! But can I in reality do that, no! Of cause there could be a movie, and yeah if they choose Batman could defeat Superman. And it could be done in a convincing way. But if saying they were both real people, then it’s possible if Batman had planned it all out and had Krptonite. But if Superman knew ANYTHING about it, then no chance in hell! He could float up in the atmosphere, finf Batman with his vision, then from same position just shoot a red eye beam through his head! That is the reality. But in stories, anything can happen. Hell, Clark Kent could be walking to work one day, and a mugger with a knife, just happened to have a green rock necklace, unknowning, stubs Clark, takes his wallet. Boom, Clark Kent aka Superman is now dead. Not the most exciting way to end it, but my point is in stories, there are many ways it could be written for him to be defeated/kill. But all require Kryptonite, or exposing him to red sun light.
If they ever make this movie I would like to see Clark wear the Batsuit for some reason in a scene!!
Batman winning Superman is the worst joke I´ve seen in my life!
It´s ridiculous!
There is a superman and batman movie poster in i am legend
and boy have penises and girls have viginas. lol.
You can pretty much gaurantee anyone who would end up or even read this blog knows that. It is how most of these blogs started
