Connections: Fate Or Coincidence?

I’m not really a hardcore Lostie (n. fan of the TV series “Lost“), but I admit I watched all the episodes of the show, from season one to four, as well as some bloopers, deleted scenes, podcasts, and fan trailers. And there are only a few Losties here in my side of the world, because most people say the story’s plot is too complex or complicated, that they often get “lost” in the story. I for one am glad I DID watch the show because of the valuable lessons it gave, as well as the action, the drama, the comedy,..and most of all, the mystery.

But the greatest mystery in the story of Lost is the main reason or cause why everything that happened, happened. Somebody once told me that people meet for a reason, and that reason is sometimes a mystery that can only be solved in death (whoah). There’s no such thing as coincidence, because I only believe in divine intervention and predestination. At least for us humans, every event has a purpose.

Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (2009)

Yes, folks! The new Transformers movie finally has a title, as confirmed in their official site (actually, it’s all over the web already).

Although the final cast of the movie is not yet 100% confirmed, we can be sure that Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox will once again be portraying their roles in the previous movie as Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes, despite Shia’s unfortunate accident last month.

We Did It Again! Filipino Singer Makes Waves In The International Music Scene

Nothing makes me prouder to be a Pinoy than the music our ‘kababayans’ offer to the world!

When I first heard the news from a colleague, I said “No way!” I can’t believe it myself; I wondered where the heck I was when the news first came out. Being a solid fan of 80′s rock, I get excited about stuff like this: a Pinoy gets to be the new frontman for the band Journey!

The very lucky and extremely talented guy was 40 year-old Arnel Pineda, lead vocals for the local band The Zoo.

I knew I had to dig deeper into this so I started searching for video clips in YouTube. Apparently, Neal Schon (Journey’s lead guitarist) was doing the same thing late last year in search of a potential vocalist to replace Jeff Scott Soto, who recently left the band. Neal explains, “I was frustrated about not having a singer, so I went on YouTube for a couple of days and just sat on it for hours. I was starting to think I was never going to find anybody. But then I found The Zoo and I watched a bunch of different video clips that they had posted. After watching the videos over and over again, I had to walk away from the computer and let what I heard sink in because it sounded too good to be true.
